Renovation on Giardino Segreto was completed in the spring of 2009 and was done using traditional methods and materials. While the exterior was restored to the original style, the interior space has been designed to accommodate contemporary lifestyles with modern appliances and updated lighting, fixtures and décor.

The ground floor is dedicated to entertaining with a large dining room comfortably seating 8 people. The spacious kitchen is stocked with professional cookware and has a lounge area for socialising while preparing meals with locally grown food for which Puglia is famous.

There is a patio off the kitchen with an herb garden and seating for al fresco meals under the shade of a pomegranate tree. Just beyond the patio is a small fruit grove with 20 orange, lemon, Clementine, and Sharon fruit trees. This is one of the few gardens in the historic center and the 10-foot high stone wall ensures your privacy.

Upstairs are three bedrooms and two full bathrooms. The master bedroom has a balcony overlooking the garden and an en suite bathroom with separate shower and bathtub. There is air conditioning in this bedroom, but a ceiling fan has also been installed. The other bedrooms share a bathroom with a shower. The roof terrace offers beautiful evening views of the monastery bell tower and can be set up as an outdoor cinema for private film screenings.
